At Doghouses 'R Us, we take security seriously.  Your order information is safe and secure.  Keep reading to see how we verify your information so it remains secure.  There are also some examples of how the new versions of Internet Explorer and Firefox display secure web page URLs.

We subscribe to ScanAlert.  The folks at ScanAlert perform a daily scan of this site to verify it is secure.  The Hacker Safe logo will only display if we pass the daily scan.  If you click on the ScanAlert Hacker Safe icon to the right, you can see more information about their certification of www.doghousesrus.com.

When you enter the CHECK OUT screen, you will notice the lock Padlock at the top of the form.  If you look at the URL field you will also notice the URL begins with https rather than http.  Https indicates a page is secure.

We also use Verisign.  Verisign is a service that verifies a web page is secure.  When you see this information on the CHECK OUT page, you can click on it.  A new window opens and displays the Verisign information.   If you click on the words "About SSL Certificates", a new window will open to http://www.verisign.com/ssl/ssl-information-center/index.html.  This site gives more information on the logos below.

Note: The information on this page is an example.  To see the Verisign information for Doghouses 'R Us, you need to be on the CHECK OUT page.
